2014 in Review

What better way to end the blogging year with the official WordPress report? Enjoy looking at my stats πŸ˜€

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 8,200 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Happy New Year from True Gaming Life! (With New Year’s Resolutions)

I wanted to wish a  Happy New Year to everbody! I really hope that this year will be great for you all!

Last year this blog was born and, almost one year later, it’s still alive so who knows what might happen in the future. I enjoy writing here and I hope I will continue to do so. I also wanted to share with you some of my new year’s resolutions (related to this blog of course πŸ˜› ), just some ideas about things I would like to do in the following months.

In order of importance:

  1. Do my best to blog as much as possible
  2. Custom domain (no more .wordpress.com)
  3. New theme
  4. More videos
  5. Twitch.tv account so that you can watch me kick ass in racing games and platformers πŸ™‚
  6. Facebook page

If there is anything else you would like to see covered, please drop a comment below. I enjoy your feedback and I will consider every suggestion.

Again, a very Happy New Year to you all!

Merry Christmas From True Gaming Life!

Santa in Jetpack JoyrideJust a quick post to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I hope you spend a great day with your dear ones.

My small gift to you is this screenshot I took in Jetpack Joyride. It took a while to earn enough coins to unlock the Santa hat and the Santa suit, but it was worth it πŸ˜€

Have a great day and a Merry Christmas again!

True Gaming Life Weekly is Born!

I like newspapers and magazines. I especially like the idea of newspapers generated by people rather than by reporters, and I love the possibility to read newspapers focusing on one specific topic (or rather on topics that I am interested in).

That’s why, when I found out about paper.liΒ thanks to a fellow Twitter gamer, @retrozool, who publishes his own newspaper, I immediately decided to give it a try. So I am proud to announce the birth of True Gaming Life Weekly, a newspaper/magazine that includes the most interesting articles, pictures and videos I have stumbled upon or created in the last week. I hope you like it and I will continue to publish it indefinitely if I see that the feedback is good.

In the meantime, you can check out the first issue. Please let me know what you think, all feedback is welcome!

Also, make sure to check out RetroZool’s Retrogaming latest issueΒ as well. After all, that’s where everything began πŸ™‚

New Community Widget Added

This is not an update about videogames but one about this very blog: I have just added a Community widget on the right sidebar, showing the latest readers that have interacted with the site, by commenting or adding a link back to one of my blog posts. I would have liked to add a “top commentators” widget but being the site still on wordpress.com, I cannot upload any new plugins.

It’s just a little thank you to you, dear readers πŸ™‚ Now you have one more reason to interact with the site.
